Syncly now offers one way Sync and Copy / Publish workflows to all other available connectors.
As Google Drive does not support copying or downloading of documents in their native Google format for use outside of their ecosystem. Google documents are not standalone files but rendered by your browser from a connected Google server.
When creating a workflow which has Google Drive as the source, Syncly has the option to automatically convert Google documents to a compatible format. This will place a file with a standard compatible file format in the destination folder. If not selected, a placeholder with the Google extension is placed in the destination folder.
| Application | Google extension | Converted extension |
| Google Docs | .gdoc | .docx |
| Google Sheets | .gsheets | .xlsx |
| Google Slides | .gslide | .pptx |
By default, this option is enabled. To update this as your system default setting, you can disable this in Admin -> Workflow -> Default sync options. Alternatively, this setting can be configured at individual workflow level.
